Another excellent experience in Austin. Nestled in a university part of town, this place gets busy.
You walk in and are politely greeted by a staff already too busy serving other customers, impressive.
I had the five protein bowl with a nice selection of rice, veggies, etc. it was excellent and superbly fresh sashimi.
Like other places I've dived in Austin, I was surprise that the price here was about 30% higher than NC, KY, VA, FL, and even parts of NJ.
Nonetheless, awesome lunch. -

I was craving something healthy after a workout so I went to poke! Since it feels so healthy and grease free.
Poke Bay atmosphere is nothing amazing; it's pretty boring. It's a small store with a few tables and usually nobody is there. So walking in, it felt kind of underwhelming and not a place to sit down and eat.
The poke itself is pretty good. The bowl size is standard, you get rice and veggies and toppings. The only thing that changes are the servings of fish. So you get 3 scoops for $10.99 and 5 for $12.99. I went this time and got the large and got 3 salmon, yellowtail, and tuna.
The poke servings is enough to fill you up if you get enough rice and toppings. I got the Ponzu sauce which is a bit acidic but it added a nice kick.
I was satisfied with my poke and loved the fish and variety in toppings. Only complaint would be the boring atmosphere and relatively high price ($15 for a single causal meal?). -

If you're studying at PCL and get hungry but want something relatively healthy, have no fear, poke bay is here!
The owner of this restaurant and the workers are super friendly and sweet. I think that's one of the reasons that I always come back even if it's a little on the expensive side for poke. One down side is that seaweed salad is not free, and it's an additional dollar
I like the house special sauce, it's tangy and savory at the same time. Not too salty and they don't drench the poke with sauce unlike some places I know. Would definitely come back and recommend! -

Portions are big, which makes me very happy! The fish is always fresh here (much better than Look Poke). The Bay 2 Sauce really makes the Poke!
